 Adar Gandelsman is an Israeli model. She was Miss Israel 2017's first place runner-up . She also took home the title of Miss Universe Israel 2017. Adar took part in the Miss Universe 2017 pageant, but didn't place. Gandelsman as well as Miss Universe Iraq Sarah Idan shared a photo at the pageant. Idan and her entire family fled Iraq in December of 2017 after they were outraged by Iraqi citizens about her photo with Miss Israel. Miss Israel is born in Ashkelon in Israel and was born to Ashkenazi Jewish parents, who moved to Israel in 1992 from Brazil.
